SNAPPICZ · YOUR PRIVACY
Effective date: 30 September 2026
SnapPicz helps you identify and learn about the things you photograph. This policy describes the information involved in the photo-identification experience shown by SnapPicz and the choices you have when using it.
The photo-identification experience involves:
A photo you choose to take or upload for identification.
The identification result and related information displayed in response to your photo.
You can take a photo or choose one to use with SnapPicz. Camera and photo-library access are controlled by your device, and you can review or change those permissions in its settings. Only choose images you are comfortable submitting for identification.
The photo you choose is used to generate an identification result and provide information about what you have captured. SnapPicz also displays that result so you can explore and learn more about your discovery.
SnapPicz’s photo-identification experience begins with a photo you choose to take or upload. Please avoid including personal or sensitive details in images you submit for identification.
Choose photos with care before submitting them for identification. If a photo contains personal or sensitive details, consider using a different image.
You decide whether to take or upload a photo for identification. You can review or change camera and photo-library permissions in your device settings. Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights relating to personal information.
If a child uses SnapPicz, a parent or guardian should review any image the child chooses to submit for identification.
We may update this policy as SnapPicz changes. When an updated version is published, the effective date above will be revised.
