These Terms of Use explain the rules for using SnapPicz’s photo-identification service. By using SnapPicz, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
SnapPicz lets you take or upload a photo and explore an identification result and related information about what you captured. Use the service for lawful, personal discovery and learning. Features may change over time.
When using SnapPicz, please:
Submit only photos that you have the right to use and that do not infringe anyone else’s rights.
Avoid using the service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
Do not interfere with the service or attempt to bypass its security or access restrictions.
You are responsible for the photos you choose to submit. You retain any rights you have in them. By submitting a photo for identification, you allow SnapPicz to use that photo as needed to produce and display the requested result. Please avoid submitting images containing sensitive or private information about you or others.
SnapPicz provides identification results to help you explore and learn. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be checked against reliable sources before you rely on them. They are not a substitute for professional advice or expert identification, especially where health, safety, legal, or financial decisions are involved.
SnapPicz’s name, branding, interface, and original service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of them to you. You may use the service as intended, but may not copy, modify, or distribute its protected materials without permission. Your rights in photos you submit remain yours, subject to the limited permission needed to provide the requested identification result.
We may update, pause, or discontinue parts of SnapPicz. The service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We do not promise uninterrupted access.
SnapPicz and its identification results are provided for general information and discovery. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, SnapPicz is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on an identification result. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
We may revise these terms as SnapPicz changes. When updated terms are published, the effective date at the top of this page will be revised. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.
